Guns

Here's my collection so far...

A Glock 17
A Glock 17, chambered in 9mm. Magazines hold 17 rounds each. An excellent first gun, durable and easy to clean.

A Sig-Sauer P220, stainless steel
A Sig-Sauer P220 ST (stainless steel model), chambered in .45ACP. Magazines hold 8 rounds each. I picked this up used from a guy who hadn't shot more than 50 rounds out of it. Solid feel, comfortable grip, and very accurate.

A Romanian AK-47
A Romanian AK-47 (originally a WASR-10, modified to take double stack magazines), chambered in 7.62x39. I have magazines that hold 20 and 30 rounds, though I hear you can get drum magazines that hold 75 rounds. This particular gun was a surplus weapon. Punches through 2 millimeter-thick steel plate at a range of 100 meters, but has surprisingly light recoil. Cheap and reliable; Mr. Kalashnikov really knew what he was doing when he designed this gun.

Yeah, pretty impressive. Can't believe you have an AK. How much?

This is a stupid comment, but they all look so similar to guns I see in Counter-Strike.

The AK was the cheapest of the bunch. It was about USD$300 with transfer fees included. It came with a small cleaning kit, two magazines that look like they've seen more than a few battles, and the original leather shoulder sling. It's not full-auto, of course; those hold quite a premium these days. And it won't win any beauty contests. But still quite a bargain, I think.

And yes, you'll probably see similar weapons in Counter-Strike. But these ones, uhh... they kick a little more.
