About a week ago, I was up in northern Miyagi for my girlfriend’s Yosakoi dance festival. Finally, a chance to try out my camera. I took about 50 shots (most of them on manual focus). Here are two of the best, though I have several more if any of you are interested.
They changed costumes while dancing about 4 times, all with some clever use of fabrics with different colors on each side. My thanks go out to whoever did the stage lighting, as it was perfect for taking photos.

Guess which one is my girlfriend… and no, it’s not the second from the right in front.

OK, which one is she–and do we look at the larger picture or the smaller one?
Look at the bigger picture. She’s in the front row. More than that I won’t say.
I would have initially guessed the second from the right, but since that’s not correct, she must be on the left in the front row. Great photos!!
Linda: Nope. There are five girls in the front and five in the back. (I’m referring to the blow-up shot, the big image.) She’s in the front row, so that’s down to five. Not the second from the right, and not the one all the way on the left. That narrows it down to 3.
In my view I only see four girls. Do I double click to get the blow-up shot? If not, how do I see it?
I got it to enlarge. How about in the middle of the front row? That’s actually the one on the smaller shot that looks to be the second from the right, which would have been my initial guess if not for your comment.
If you’re thinking the one with the crazy cool hair who looks like she’s about to fly off the stage with enthusiasm, nope, that’s not her. But she is pretty photogenic.
Is she on the far right?
Ask Mom.
Okay, I’ll ask your mother.
