reflections on Korea

August 3rd, 2006 by Jeff Leave a reply »

A few interesting things that happened in Korea that I didn’t mention before.

- Halfway up the mountain trek from hell, there was a temple. The four of us stopped there to take a look around, and an old woman there gave us some kind of cinnamon drink. It was delicious. (My friend tells me it’s a traditional Korean drink called “sujunggwa” but I didn’t see any persimmons in it.)
- While at the palace, a group of 3 or 4 schoolgirls on some sort of summer camp waved, spoke to me in English for about 10 minutes, asking where I was from and such, and then decided they just HAD to have a picture with me. Too cute.

Somehow those schoolgirls dragged me into the picture too. I don’t know why, I look like any other aZn.
