the coolest store EVER

About a week ago I went into Sendai with Takahashi to look for motorcycle gear. The first place we went to is-- get this-- a motorcycle gear and computer parts shop. I am not joking. Outside the front door are parts bins with used bits and pieces of computers, and then when you walk in there is a row of helmets on the right, aisles of jackets and boots toward the back, and computer upgrades on the left. A store that sells brake pads and hard drives? An unholy matrimony indeed. It's as if someone blackmailed Valentino Rossi and Steve Jobs into opening a store together. In Japan.

What kind of insane genius came up with such a brilliant store?

the game of "oni"

I just finished playing a funny game of tag with the third grade girls. One or two people are chosen as the "oni" (devil) and the rest are people. The people try to avoid the oni. When the oni touches a person, that person has to freeze in place until they get tagged by a moving person. The game is over when either the oni gives up, or everyone gets frozen.

For some reason I couldn't stop laughing! It was so much fun. I can't remember having that much fun in 3rd grade. Man, what was I missing? I love this job.

fast-forward
