Toilets are not supposed to freeze. The water in the toilet bowl is not supposed to turn into ice. The pipe leading into the tank isn’t supposed to freeze. When I turn the handle, I should get a nice whooshing sound and moving water. In liquid form.
There is not supposed to be an icicle several inches long hanging from my bath tap. The water on the floor left over from yesterday’s shower is not supposed to solidify on the bathroom floor. THIS IS NOT NORMAL!

All we’ve been hearing about here is the huge unnatural cold/freezing weather in Asia this year, with tons of snow, people dying from cold, etc. So maybe it ISN’T normal. In fact, the stories have been so scary that I was worried we hadn’t heard from you in a while. Oh, and we are having unseasonably hot weather here. It was in the 80′s this past week. Go figure.
Wow! Last night I watched a program on the History Channel about the “Little Ice Age” that happened about 150-200 years ago. There were unnaturally low temperatures across the Northern Latitudes and millions died from cold and starvation. It was quite frightening. Supposedly due to the change in the warm ocean currents being brought up from the warmer latitudes. They even postulate that global warming may in fact cause another Ice Age, due to the melted polar ice caps disrupting the flow of warm air in the ocean. Yikes! I hope you have enough blankies~ can you get a space heater? I’m cold when it’s 50 outside, so I can only imagine! Keep warm Jeff!
Ahh, every time I hop in my jeep with no windows and my skin gets little goose bumps, I’ll think of you. Here, take this extra pair of gloves, my hands are getting kind of sweaty.
You should equip your toilet with an ice pick alongside the ordinary toilet brush.
