First and most importantly, if you're blind you're screwed. I don't if any people read my site with screen readers, but I don't want to screen them out. And second of all, I've run into more than one captcha where I couldn't tell the difference between a lowercase L and the number 1, or uppercase O and the number 0. They really suck. Plus they waste people's time. A lot of people, rather than hunt and peck to find 6 characters, would just as well not post a comment. Captchas are bad news, my friend.
