I like the Matsushima boats, second to the taxicab pic. If I were doing some sort of Andy Warhol thing or going completely pomo with my decor, the taxi cab pic would probably kill the boats, but in any other case, the boats.

Bamboo, Matsushima boats, and zen garden are the most interesting, and i think the best composition for a bedroom/dorm/etc setting. they also have the best sense of "japan" in them (although some of the others have that too). the taxi one is neat as hell, but it doesnt' match the other pictures in terms of feeling, you wouldn't want to hang it up with one of the others, too contradictory.

If it were me, I'd go with Yamadera and the White Flower. Should my opinon be unpopular, then I would also suggest the Zen Garden and the Composite. Naruko Rays is a great picture, but I think the shot of the village holds the same beauty, but it also holds a Japanese village, and thus carries more weight as an artifact of your Japanese adventure. The boats are good, but I think they pale in comparison to the other five I have already mentioned. They are all nice pictures, however.

I like the other-worldly feel of the Matsushima fog one, and I love Yamadera (the place), but I think the best one was the Naruko shot.

I liked the boats one the best.

Definitely the Matsushima boats picture. It is very mysterious, yet peaceful.

boats, rays, and yamadera deserve to be posters. The fog one did show up so well on my shitty comp, so it might look better than I think.

I think they are all equally good, but there's a large selection of photos that are dark/taken on a cloudy day. So do one bright coloured one, and another from a cloudy day.

Naruko Rays, Mastsushima Boats, and White Flower were my top three. The Rays would make such a gorgeous poster because it is so deep, would not only draw the viewer in but the shot is stunning and peaceful. The Boats would also make a great poster as it is calming and also draws the eyes inward, plus the colors are really soft but it would look really nice with a dark red, green or blue frame or wall to contrast it. The flower was just gorgeous..I love the water dropplets, so reminded me of walking into a garden early in the morning.
