I don’t speak any of these

Today in the ECE lab, in the past hour and a half, I have heard Cantonese, Korean, and an unknown African language. That’s just here in the lab, sitting at this computer.

    Yeah, we get that every day. More sometimes, including Indonesian, Malay, Mandarine… Says something about our Engineering department, which is rumoured to be 70% Asian.

    I think our university has the highest international student proportion in the world at 46%.

    I know the feeling…except for me it’s either baby babble or barking dogs…Scary thing is, I can actually understand the dogs. I’m still learing to translate the baby!

    At least you’re one of the Americans who can actually tell the difference between Korean, Chinese and Japanese! :)
