rant
April 1st, 2004Some days here are just mentally draining and exhausting. Today is one.
Went to a food market again today. It’s horrible, being practically illiterate. I’m in a situation I’m unfamiliar with (grocery store) trying to find stuff where everythingis written differently, so that I can cook something that I have no idea what it tastes like.
As for kanji, the wonderful Chinese characters, ugh. Maybe I should give this up and study Korean. But I still need to be able to speak to people; otherwise it’s a moot point.
