Going to Hiroshima

Today wrapped up a trip to Kyoto and Nara. Now heading to Hiroshima. Be patient, I will have plenty of photos up in a few days.

Ian, Monica, and I are taking the slow trains for 2000 yen per day. This means it takes 9 hours instead of two by bullet train, but we can see backcountry here.

Most Japanese usually associate spring with cherry blossoms but the real start of spring is before that, when plum trees bloom.

After 20 hours of daylight, finally got to Tokyo. The flight didn’t feel that long tho. Finished Da Vinci Code in one sitting.

I think I’ve missed the quiet brilliance of this place. Good to be back.
