Yet another foray into the world of all that is incomprehensible, here is a photo from a vending machine on the Kawauchi campus.

November 18th, 2003Photo album is up!
November 18th, 2003It’s very basic, and thrown together in about an hour, but if you’re looking for a central place to view all the photos I’ve posted onto the site, there’s now a page just for that. While it won’t display images that don’t have a larger photo to go with them, all the images are clickable. You can access it here, or through the links banner on the right.
Eki-den
November 15th, 2003There’s an event every year called Eki-den where every lab runs a relay race around campus. I had the dubious pleasure of getting the toughest course, a mile run from the Kawauchi campus to the Aobayama campus. This course runs straight uphill.
Needless to say, I was coughing quite a bit afterwards, but it was all good in the end.
The other half of the Eki-den involves a big laboratory lunch party. A big stew had been prepared a day in advance, containing things like daikon (a kind of enormous Japanese radish), fish cake stuff, and some other generally stewy types of things. After the huge run, it was fantastic. And of course, like every big Japanese celebration, there were copious amounts of drink served.
I’ll post photos later!
Good news: photo album is coming soon!
November 14th, 2003For those of you who were curious about such a thing, a handy-dandy photo album page is on its way. This will give you a chance to browse through the photos I’ve uploaded to my site. If you’re lucky, you may even see photos that were never posted as an entry.

November 14th, 2003Who’s shaking the building?
November 12th, 2003Just had an earthquake about a minute ago. I was watching Strongbad Email and all of a sudden the bookcases all started rattling, like someone with really big hands was shaking the building. It lasted about 20 seconds.
Freaky.
Oh yeah, and the time is correct for this one.
